Love Is In The Hair

Like it or not, Valentine’s day is coming fast! Whether you’re planning a romantic night with your bf, or heading out with the girls it’s time to get romantic! To get your hair in shape, NYC stylist to the stars Patrick Melville shared his tips for a perfect and pretty low chignon!
”The best way to create this look is to start by first creating a bit of texture in your hair using a 1 to 1 1/4 inch curling iron. After curling hair throughout head, mist hair with a lightweight hairspray to create hold.
Grab hair as if making a ponytail. Pull hair through the elastic twice and on the last pull through stop halfway leaving about three inches of hair out(or depending on length left on ends). Wrap loose ends around to hide elastic. Secure with pins.
Pull out pieces around the face to create softness and more of a modern look.
The updo can be worn with either a center part or a side part. Add some pretty pins or a lacey headband for a little extra glamour.”
