Copy the Hairstyles from the Oscars!

Some of the most incredible hairstyles from the Academy Awards were created by Frederic Fakkai’s celebrity stylists. Seventeen has the scoop on how to try out these looks yourself.

Anne Hathaway

INSPIRATION: A modern take on an Edwardian influenced
style accented with a
bohemian flair; a soft, loose style with beautiful shine

HOW
TO:

  1. Begin by
parting the hair down the center and apply Fekkai Advanced Full
    Blown Volume Styling Whip
    to the hair from
    roots ends.
  2. Blow-dry the hair using Fekkai Round Brush.
  3. Next, pull
hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, making sure to cover the
    ears.
  4. Twist
the ponytail into a loose knot.
  5. The key is
keeping it loose for a touch of bohemian flair. It’s almost like a draping
around the face with wispy pieces of hair coming out softly.
  6. Finish
the look by spraying the Fekkai CoiffTM Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Stars Come Out for the Post-Oscar Parties

They may have not walked the red carpet at the 2011 Academy Awards,
but some of your favorite stars still made it out to the pre- and
post-Oscar parties. Kim Kardashian was all kinds of glam at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, wearing a beautiful midnight J. Mendel gown with minimal accessories on her ears and wrist. Emma Roberts also showed up to the event, rocking a silver plunging-neckline gown,
finished with platinum & gold earrings and a matching clutch.

Selena Gomez donned the perfect accessory on her arm - Justin Bieber!
The adorable twosome were hand-in-hand at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
and weren’t afraid to show it. They even donned coordinating outfits!
Selena wore a stunning red floor-length dress, while the Biebs rocked a
matching red pocket square with his all-black attire.

Best and Worst Dressed at the 2011 Oscars

The Academy Awards – the ultimate night to show off the glitz &
glam on the red carpet. This year, some of Hollywood’s hottest celebs
turned up the heat with their ultra chic looks; as for some other
stars… what their stylists were thinking?!

Best: Making her Oscar debut, True Grit’s Hailee Steinfeld donned a super cute (& totally prom-worthy!) nude Marchesa gown. The always-gorgeous Black Swan actress, Mila Kunis, looked amazingly glam in her lavender chiffon dress and beautiful silver accessories. The crowd favorite for Oscar host Anne Hathaway was her white embellished dress from the Awards opening – total flashback to Princess Mia!

Get Mila Kunis’ Academy Awards Hairstyle

At the Academy Awards, Mila Kunis wore a sweet lilac dress and topped it off with a knotted updo. TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist Mara Roszak tells you how to get Mila’s style:

  1. Apply TRESemmé Naturals Mousse to wet hair and rough dry, parting the hair to one side.
  2. With a 1″ barrel curling iron, wave hair away from the face in sections.
  3. Brush out the curled sections with fingertips and form an “S” wave around the face.
  4. Pull hair softly into a messy chignon and spray it all over with TRESemmé Naturals Finishing Spray for a soft holding finish.

Check out Mila’s other hairstyles, like from the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards!
