Blush can be tricky — powder vs cream, which brush to use, how to apply it, etc. So, I asked DuWop makeup artist, Jason Garner, about his tips and tricks for adding color without going overboard. Here’s what he said:

“Powder blushes tend to have more intensity in color, whereas creams are
softer and more muted. This fall we want defined cheek bones with color
that lasts. The best way to achieve this effect is with powder,” says Garner.

How to apply blush:

1.   Start at the temples and blend inwards.
2.   Remember not to go too far in front of the apples because it will close up the face.
3.   For added brightening using a highlighter in front to the apples.
