What’s a girl to do when she’s invited to the Plaza for a mini makeover? Shriek with joy! Well, at least that’s what I did. In an effort to learn about what color makeup goes with red hair, I headed over to the Plaza Beauty to try out Becca Cosmetics. I met Trevis Lester, a wonderfully funny and extremely knowledgeable makeup artist and I asked him for a day-to-day-glowing-supermodel-skin look. And lucky me, that’s just what I got.
First, Trevis prepped my skin with Becca’s Mineral SPF 30 Primer. I’m not usually a fan of primers but this one wasn’t oily at all and it has green tea in it, which always seems to calm any redness on my face. Speaking of redness, never in my life have I ever worn blush because my cheeks are naturally ruddy. Well, Trevis decided to take me into the unknown realm of blush and used Beach Tint ($25), a really cool coral colored cream blush. Not in the mood to wear blush? No problem, Beach Tint doubles as a lip tint! Seriously, Becca Cosmetics have some awesome makeup bag staples.
The last thing that I’m going to rave about is the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl ($41). It has to be hands down the best highlighter I’ve ever used. Trevis used it to highlight my cheekbones but I’d try using a touch in the corners of my eye to brighten them. Go to beccacosmetics.com to check out the items I’ve mentioned–on each product page there’s a make-up artist tip!
