Kanye West the ‘master of cool’, well that is if you disregard the Taylor Swift spat, has hit back at criticism of his fashion.Kanye West lost it on his blog in one of his classic rants on Friday (January 29) after being criticised by PETA the animal-rights organization after pictures of his fur wearing during Paris fashion week surfaced. “When it’…

Next athlete up is the super tough Sarah Burke! By super tough, I mean scary, tough as nails tough– like training for a triathlon after breaking her back, doing flips and tricks in the air tough! Surprisingly, this gorgeous girl isn’t all tomboy… Read on to learn more about her, and wish her luck tonight as she goes for her 4th gold medal IN A ROW (!!) at the Winter X Games!
When did you start skiing?
I started skiing when I was 4 or 5. My parents
grew up doing it so it was kind of automatic. I’m from just north of Toronto from a small town called Midland.
If you weren’t an athlete what would you want to do?
Geez! I have no idea! But through being an athlete I’ve found a lot of things I really like to do. I love working with Roxy and fashion. I also love decorating my house so maybe I’d want to be in interior decorating? I really think that if I wasn’t an athlete I could see myself in fashion, or interior design.

In addition to having the best voice on tv (she’s the voice of Gossip Girl!) Kristen Bell is one of those actresses that is just so likeable, no? She’s always funny, cute, and at ease–even on the red carpet! As was the case at the premiere of When in Rome (which I want to see… I’m a sucker for Rom Coms!). Mai Quynh (makeup artist for Mark cosmetics) broke down her look for me:
“I wanted to keep her face fresh and bright! I started with
Mark Calm & Composed Moisturizer. Then I applied
Mark Face Xpert in Buff using a foundation brush. I used
Mark Good Riddance in Fair/Light around her nose and around her mouth. I applied
Mark Get Bright in Light under her eyes and down the bridge of her nose. Then I used
Mark Just Pinched in Peachy on the apples of her cheeks using a concealer brush. I set her face with
Mark Matte-nificent Powder in Nude Ivory using the powder brush. On her eyes, I started with
I-Mark eyeshadow in Biscotti putting it on her lid using the all over eyeshadow brush. In the crease of her eyes, I mixed
I-Mark eyeshadows in Latte and Minx, using the angled contour eyeshadow brush. I rimmed her eyes with
Mark Longwear Eye Pencil in Solid Gold–it’s a bronzey gold color. Then, I smudged
Mark Eyemarker Pencil in Java along the top of her lashline and underneath her bottom lashes using the eyeliner brush. I finished her eyes with
Mark Lash Splash Mascara in Black. Also, I added
Mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush in Hush Baby to her cheeks, using the blush/bronzer brush-just to make them pop. On her lips, she’s wearing
Mark Pro Gloss in Swell!”

After dying my hair red, I knew it would take a lot of upkeep to protect my color from fading which is why I’ve been using John Master’s Organics Herbal Cider Hair Clarifier and Color Sealer ($17, johnmasters.com). The cider is made up of a mixture of 7 certified organic herbs and essential oils but my favorite part about it is that the main ingredient is apple cider vinegar, which I’m a big fan of. I put a teaspoon in my water bottle almost every day to keep hunger pangs away and to make my water less boring. Apple cider vinegar packs a tangy punch in my water but gave my hair and scalp a squeaky clean feeling. For those who have oily hair this product is great! For cleaner, brighter hair, use once a week for cleaner hair in between shampooing and conditioning.
