Aaahh! It’s here! My custom iPhone cover from Get Uncommon just arrived and I’m obsessed with it! I, like Lady GaGa, have a thing for monsters, so I drew a weird little monster scene for my cover, and I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. This is definitely on my top five list of best gift ideas ever! Make your own at getuncommon.com!

When Victoria’s Secret chose Alessandra Ambrosia to be one of their angels, they sure picked right! I got to hang with her (and was brave enough to take a picture with the supermodel, ha) last night at the launch of VS’s new scent collection Secret Moments (which is out in March and adorable!). She was SO nice and shared all of her winter tips with me. Enjoy!
What’s your winter beauty must-have?
“A super rich body lotion! I hate the feeling of getting out of the shower and feeling so–ick–dry. It makes me feel old! So I always slather on moisturizer. I’ve been using Victoria’s Secret Nourishing Cream and it’s been great.”
What are your fashion essentials this season?
“It’s so cold here in New York–I’m from Brazil! I can’t lie, I like Uggs. But you can’t wear them in New York and feel fashionable! You can get away with them in Los Angeles though. I love my leather leggings from The Row. They’re so comfortable, fit like second skin, and are warm. And I love my Balenciaga leather jacket too! Although I don’t wear those together, obviously!”
Twitterpeeps, follow Alessandra @AngelAlessandra!

I got the beauty411 from her haircolorist, the superbly talented Lorri Goddard-Clark: “Liv chose her color for a character in a film she is playing. We played with different hues until she liked what she saw for her role. My top tips for girls thinking of going scarlet are:
1. First of all, red is fun and flirtatious, so go for it!
2. Start with a color shampoo or gloss to test the waters.
3. Be prepared for a once a week 10 to 15 minute gloss to keep the color fresh.
4. Try doing a few caramel colored highlights first, then get your red on. This gives texture and more beautiful results.
5.Make sure to wear a lip stain, lip gloss or lipstick. Red looks better with a pretty lip color, from soft pink to…. you guessed it, classic red.
6. Red can help you look and feel amazing, so be prepared to stop traffic!”
