The Scoop On January Jones’ Amazing ‘Do!

januaryjonesgg.jpgI think January Jones looked altogether STUNNING at the Globes on Sunday.
But I especially adored her hair–it was clean and minimal but striking at
the same time. I totally wasn’t surprised to hear that hairstylist Mark
Townsend created her coif (he also tends to Reese and Natalie Portman). He
shared the 411 on her style with us: “As soon as I saw the Lanvin dress I
knew I wanted to put her hair up,” said Townsend, “and I think that adding
the satin ribbon as a headband gave a classic French twist with a very
modern edge. I started by applying a small amount of Moroccanoil® Treatment
to January’s damp hair and blow-dried it with a round brush. This unique
argan oil-infused formula gives the hair amazing shine and silky finish, an
essential to the look I had in mind. When the hair was dry, I took a dollop
of Moroccanoil® Hydrating Styling Cream into my hands and then finger combed
the hair to give a soft hold and add even more shine and leave the hair
extremely smooth. Finally, I gathered the hair into a French twist and
secured with about 10 bobby pins. To give her a progressive, chic look I
used satin ribbon as a headband.”

Get Drew’s Look!

drewbarrymoregg.jpgDrew Barrymore was absolutely fabulous on Sunday at the Globes–the dress! The hair! The makeup! The adorable speech that made me tear up (I’m a sap!). But I digress… Here’s the scoop from her makeup artist, Debra Ferullo, on how to get her gorgeous glow!
“The overall look was simple and classic. Her dress was so amazing that I didn’t want the makeup to compete so I selected warm-tones for a natural, soft look. First, I prepped the skin with moisturizer and then applied Dior Skinflash Primer to set the skin. Drew’s skin is so gorgeous that she doesn’t need a full face of foundation so I applied DiorSkin Nude Foundation on the cheeks to give her a dewy look and on select spots for natural illumination. Lastly, I applied COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Blush in Plush Peach with my fingers to add a healthy glow and defined cheekbones. The look for her eyes was a pearly, iridescent, shimmer with just a touch of color. I used COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire. First, I applied the lighter shade to the inner corner of the eye, then the darker shade to the lid for a colorful smoky eye look. Use your finger to blend the cream formula for the most control. Drew wanted her lashes to stand out, so I curled them, then applied three coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Length Mascara to the top lashes and one coat to the bottom lashes for definition. For Drew’s classic red lip look, I applied Dior Addict Lipstick in Hollywood Rose #753.”

Hollywood Magic: Get Camilla Belle’s Look

camillabellegg.jpgCamilla Belle, in my opinion, could’ve been born at any time and still be
the gorgeous starlet she is now. She has such a timeless, Old Hollywood
look! The lovely Fiona Stiles shared her best tips and tricks from prepping
her for the Golden Globes… Enjoy!

“I went with a sultry eye shaded in watery blues and silvery grays and a
very nude mouth. I used a blue-teal under the lower lashes and smoked out
the edges with a little grayish purple. On the top lid I used a pale gray
all over, a darker blue-gray at the outer corners and then worked black into
the lash line. I did three coats of mascara on the top and left the bottom
lashes bare so the color underneath would feel soft and airy. I simply
pressed the lip color into the lips with my finger. A little touch of a
light pink blush and a matte nude mouth kept the focus on the eyes.”
The product breakdown!

The Exclusive Scoop On The Glee Girls!

gleegg.jpgI was SO happy when Glee won at the Golden Globes on Sunday. And could the
girls have looked any more gorgeous? I got the exclusive scoop from makeup
artist Melanie Inglessis, who created Dianna and Lea’s look on behalf of
Dior.
“For Dianna, I chose to accentuate her eyes with a dark slate color that
would complement her dress. I kept the darker color on the outside of her
eyes to keep them open. The lips we kept very natural with just a hint of a
natural color applied softly with my finger and no lipliner.
The key products were:
Eyes: DiorShow Mascara, Dior 5-Colour Iridescent Eyeshadow in Petal Shine
Lips: Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick in Rose Show #454
Cheeks: Dior Bronze Harmony de Blush in Rose Brazilia
Skin: DiorSkin Nude Foundation
As for Lea: I curled her very long lashes and applied the first coat of
Mascara. I waited for it to dry then curled again (note: it’s not
recommended to do everyday!) then re-applied one more coat of mascara. It
makes for rock star black lashes. Another tip I used on Lea: always define
your brow very well and apply a light shimmer on the brow bone (middle shade
in Night Dust palette), just below the arch, that will lift your eyes up. I
applied that same color onthe inside of Lea’s eyes to open her eyes up.
The key products were:
Eyes: Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Night Dust (bronzy shade)
DiorShow Blackout Mascara, Dior Waterproof Crayon Eyeliner in Trinidad
Black
Lips: Rouge Dior Lipstick in Rita Beige #298
Cheeks: Dior Bronze Matte Sunshine SPF 20, Dior Harmony de Blush in Rose
Brazilia
Skin: DiorSkin Nude Foundation
