I can’t lie. I break cameras, on average, once or twice a year. It’s not that I don’t take care of them. I keep them in cases, I try to be nice to them, I just have AWFUL luck with them. Somehow, they end up falling into sinks, out of moving vehicles, you name it! That’s why I’m waiting with bated breath for Casio’s new EX-G1 to come out. Man, even the NAME of the product sounds tough! Apparently, the camera is waterproof, shockproof, and 12 megapixels! Perfect for me… Check it out for $299 at MyCasio.com–I know I will be!

Sure, we’ve all heard that getting enough vitamin C and zinc are important for a healthy immune system, but that may not be the whole story. “The science is still spotty in terms of what role vitamin C and zinc play in immunity,” according to New York City-based nutritionist Katherine Brooking. “Some studies showed that they do boost immunity, and others found that they don’t really play a role.” Foods packed with vitamin C (such as oranges, broccoli, bell pepper) and zinc (like beef, turkey, chicken, and salmon) are good for you either way, so be sure to still include them in your daily diet. But to give your immune system an extra boost this winter, look to yogurt. “A large part of the body’s immune system is actually in the digestive system. The probiotics, or healthy bacteria, that you get from yogurt help keep the digestive system healthy and thereby strengthens the immune system, too,” says Brooking. Some yogurt products can be high in fat and sugar, so pick a plain or low-fat yogurt and sweeten it yourself with a little honey and/or fruit!
