I know I’ve gone on and on about how the holidays are the time to get experimental with beauty, and try something daring and dramatic…but I’m going to say it again anyway! Go nuts!! With Proenza Schouler’s spring looks on my mind, I asked for a tie-dye tee for Christmas, and I’ve been thinking more and more about the washed out funky streaks that the adorable duo, Jack and Lazaro, had their girls wear. Call me crazy, but I’m kind of into the idea of rocking a purple or blue streaked updo with something sparkly for New Years…when it comes to parties, I’m anything but subtle. So with that in mind, I chatted with Jason Backe from Ted Gibson New York on ways to (temporarily) walk on the wild side.

movement or is it bold chunks off your part to give a retro or punk
feeling? Regardless of your placement, remember: less is more. Start
off with one piece about the size of a pencil eraser in diameter. When
you love it, add more, Be as creative as you are!!!”
