For years, I’ve been raving about Memoire Liquide, a super-amazing bespoke perfume experience at NYC’s Henri Bendel and LA’s Fred Segal. I still wear the custom perfume oil I had blended years ago and get rave reviews (it’s a mix of green tea, jasmine, and orange blossom). And now, Memoire Liquide is taking the next step to launch their first ready-to-wear fragrance collection. And, as expected, it’s crazy-cool. Each scent is housed in a book-like box, that explains all the notes of the scent and its distinct story. My favorite of the bunch is Soleil, a mix of grapefruit, tangerine, and neroli that smells like summer to me. Visit Fred Segal, Korres (in NYC), and Bloomingdales to buy!

One of the best parts of my job is getting to try new workouts. I’m not especially coordinated, or graceful, or even strong for that matter, but I love to exercise - especially when it’s something I’ve never tried before! I’ve been to a few classes that definitely fall into the category of “I’ve never tried this before, and I have no idea what I’m doing,” but in the end I always have a great time and feel satisfied knowing I could make it through. Recently, however I attended a class where I had no idea what I was doing, and really wasn’t sure I would make it through! The AerobarreA class at Aerospace NYC is SERIOUS! The class is taught by Leila, a former ballerina who developed this fusion of boxing and ballet to give all us clumsy folk the long, sculpted look of a ballerina. But holy cow, it was hard! Leila had us leaping, bounding, and pointing our toes nonstop between reps of superfast boxing style punches with 2 lb hand weights. After the class I felt stronger, taller and leaner, but tired! Literally, the next day I was praying my phone at work wouldn’t ring because it hurt just to lift it off the receiver. Now that the soreness has worn off, I’m sort of itching to give it another go. It was actually an amazing workout, and I feel stronger, but not at all bulkier, which is the mark of a good class in my opinion!

I nearly fell down the rabbit hole when I saw OPI’s new Alice in Wonderland inspired collection…the pictures hardly do justice to these vibrant hues. That blue! Oh man, it’s perfect. It’s really bright super-fine blue glitter with little flecks of gold. And the Purply sparkle color, “Mad as a Hatter” is beyond amazing. I literally squealed when I opened the box! After seeing these shades, I’m more psyched than ever for the movie.Look out for the collection this January!
