with Katelyn Rose, a 17 year old girl who founded a fashion website called
Suddenly Darling! On the website girls can get
affordable fashion ideas, buy the clothing featured and even earn gift cards to
their favorite stores! Read more for a Q&A with Katelyn!

17: How did you get
started with this website?

Katelyn Rose: We wanted to
create a site that not only shows girls how to dress fashionably, but also to
show them where to buy affordable clothes. What inspired me was, growing up,
modesty has always been on my heart. I would go to concerts and see teenage
girls dressed so inappropriately, and I’ve always wanted to do something about
it.

So in the summer of 2008, my dad and I were talking about
what I should do to get started on my career and we came up with starting a
fashion site. So I thought, why don’t we not just show girls how to dress
fashionably, but also modestly.

17: Do you pick out
all of the clothing on the website?

KR: Yes, I choose
all the affordable stores like Old Navy, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, Payless,
and Target. The clothes I wear are mostly vintage, because I love vintage
clothes, so I take my clothes and I find clothes that look like that.

Disney Couture held a gallery show for their new collection inspired by the book The Art of the
Disney Princess! Jessica Lowndes, star
of 90210 and a huge Disney fan, was there to check out the collection, which
includes tees, handbags, scarves, jewelry, and stationery! The line is so cute and now
you can show your love for all things Disney, but still look
fashion-forward at the same time!

The Disney Princess collection will be available at specialty retailers and
department stores in February 2010.
