Ladies, I am going to share with you my favorite costumes of, well, all
time. While it’s a costume that does limit your ability to walk
(actually, it makes you completely immobile) and it might be a little
bit chilly (and by a little bit I mean A LOT, since Halloween’s weather in most parts of the country gets nippy) I guess I want to share it less as a Halloween costume, per say, and maybe more of generally fun and funky costume idea.  

My friend Ashley is an incredibly talented filmmaker with a hilarious
sense of humor and a great instinct for “making art.” Ashley and I
dressed up as mermaids for a mockumentary film about a couple of
mermaids picketing for a mermaid’s right to vote (”mockumentary” is the
film genre of fake documentary…along the same lines as tv shows like The Office, and 30 Rock).
