WHAT SHE’S WEARING: “I’m wearing a yellow long sleeve t-shirt, a skirt from Forever21, socks I bought from a 99 cent store, and thrifted shoes from a vintage store in New York.”

FASHION FRIENDS: “I think that my best friend really inspires my wardrobe. She gave me the courage to not care what other people think about the way I dress. I also look up to Rihanna. Her fashion style is crazy and no matter what the media says, she still stays true to herself.”

BETSEY BABE: “My favorite designer is Betsey Johnson! I love her style. She always creates super trendy and fun clothes. Just when I think I’ve had enough of her, I find myself buying one her handbags. In my world, Betsey would be president.”

STYLISTA: “I would describe my style as different. I try to mix it up everyday. One minute I’m urban and the next, I’m dressed head-to-toe in vintage. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to look fashionable.”

MINI TRIP: “I think the mini skirts from the ’70s should make a comeback. These short flared skirts and their exotic and tropical prints were a reflection of designers gaining inspiration from foreign travel destinations.”

THE SKINNY: “I can always find what I need in Forever21, H&M, thrift stores, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel! My favorite item to wear and shop for is skinny jeans.”

Kemi asks: “I have African American hair and I don’t use braids or extensions. I have quite dry hair, though after a few days it can get quite oily. Can you recommend a good brand for my hair or any tips for looking after it?”
 
No matter why type of hair you have, it can be hard trying to find the right products to help tame your mane. But luckily for you, we asked celebrity hair stylist Kimberly Kimble (who styles Beyonce, among others!) for some advice! Read on for her tips…
 
Kimberly says: “In your case I would recommend utilizing a deep conditioner or moisturizer, it sounds like your hair is not getting enough moisture and may be dehydrated. Try using my Kimble Hair Systems’ Honey and Oatmeal Moisturizing Treatment; this is a nourishing treatment that repairs and restores dry and damaged hair.” Kimberly also suggests to “first, shampoo with a high-quality cleanser then apply Honey Oatmeal, sit under a dryer or wear a cap for 20 minutes and you should feel a difference in your mane! I also recommend sleeping on silk pillowcases or using a silk bonnet when you sleep at night. Silk, unlike cotton, does not soak up oils to leave hair dry and brittle.”
