When I walked into my first dorm room, my heart sank. I was expecting something cute, quaint, and cozy and what I got was cold, corporate, and crummy. It had grey icky carpeting and cinderblock walls. My best friend, Rowan, however, had the best room. Her antiques dealer mother ferried in gorgeous old saris and beautiful lamps and together they transformed her teeny space the most magical, wonderful, cozy den.
