Hello again fashion-lovers! I hope you all have been doing well and
finding some fab pieces in your spare time! Well speaking of fab
pieces, I recently bought a pair of white Levi’s
shorts from a local mall! They immediately caught my eye because for
one, they are high waisted and have pockets in the front. Two, I
definitely caught them at the right time because they were on sale for
only $20! I can recall a time when I wasn’t very into white shorts or
jeans, but that has seemed to change. I felt like wearing white at the
bottom was a bit risky for some reason. Don’t get me wrong, I still
believe that certain body types are not fit for wearing white.
Fortunately, once I tried these on I felt like these shorts were made
just for me! The other day I went out with my friends to a party nearby
my college campus. I decided that I was gonna try out my new pair of
shorts! My sister, Alisa,
encouraged me to play around with the shorts by mixing in different
colors. This idea most certainly came through! I chose to wear a green
tube top, a brown belt, and brown wedges. The colors balanced each
other out perfectly. Altogether, my look came to be sort of a hippie
look! The peace sign necklace definitely added to that hippie feel. All
in all, this outfit was totally cutesy and comfortable for a hot
summer’s night out! I am proud of this fashion steal! I hope you guys
feel the same!

There’s a reason we call them makeup artists. In celebration of their fall line — Make-Up Art Cosmetics, MAC asked painter Richard Phillips, illustrator Maira Kalman, and
photographer Marilyn Minter to create works using elements from the
collection. The results are amazing! Phillips gave one of his paintings,
shown left, a MAC makeover using Lipglass and The Perfect Cheek Blush.
Kalman sketched a lovely portrait with Technakohl Eye Liners and Eye
Shadows. Minter’s photograph is dreamy, yet stunning, featuring Pigments
in Push the Edge purple and Copper and highlighted with Sparkling
Chunky Gold Glitter. MAC Make-Up Art Cosmetics will be available for a
limited time beginning August 20.
