With every haircut I get (will be posting pics of my new look soon, I promise. Need to find my camera!), I tend to change up my fashion style to match my new look. My new hair is super short–and a nice compromise between girly and downtown… Just like this bracelet from Mark! I bought it in both colors (the price is right!). Check it out for $14 at meetmark.com…

Feeding my Etsy obsession are these incredible decoupaged nesting dolls from belleslettres‘ shop on Etsy. It’s such a clever idea, and they make a perfectly kitschy stand-in for uber-glam bottles from Hermes and Lanvin–not to mention, a great way to store makeup brushes and eyeliners…I can hear them calling to me!

Hey everyone! I am so excited to show you this next DIY idea. Fun, “statement making” accessories are totally in this season, but it seems hard to get them for a good deal! This week I am going to show you how to make a
fun necklace that is cheap and easy to do yourself. Perfect for summer, and easy to wear, this necklace will definitely turn heads.
Click on this blog to see how to make this necklace!

My Lash Type: Long, slight curl, sparse
I Tested: Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Effet Extension Mascara
Thoughts: “Holy Cow!” was actually my first thought when I pulled the spiky ball out of the tube. Somehow, I never saw the first version of the Phenomen’Eyes mascara and its somewhat medieval looking brush. Effet Extension is the reincarnation of the wildly popular Phenomen’Eyes, so I was eager to see if the product lived up to the hype. Looking at the spiky brush/ball, you can see little strands of lash lengthening “Stretch Extension” wax, which coats your lashes and then stretches them out. Fancy! The brush itself is designed to offer 360 degree coverage of even the tiniest hairs, and while it followed through on that claim, the shape takes a little getting used to. Once I mastered the application, I saw that my eyelashes looked much longer and thicker! It’s definitely a more in-your-face look than the other products I’ve tested, but still not at all heavy.
Best For: Short lashes: this will make them look loooong!! Also great for those who want a more dramatic look.
Buy It At: Sephora (available in August) for $28

I’m a huge fan of solid perfumes… especially when they’re as cute as these ones from Crazylibellule and the Poppies (a delectably pocket-sized company from Paris that creates scents that are free of parabens and other bad stuff, hurrah). ). Solid perfumes rock because a) you can bring them anywhere with you b) when you apply them, it goes on exactly where you like it (no more doing the spray-and-dash-through-the-scent-cloud) and c) they’re, once again, so cute.
My favorite of this new collection is Rose a Saigon, a super-femme, super-floral concoction that’s perfect for summer. Visit crazylibellule.com to find a store near you!
