I recently visited the Creative Nail Design Studios, where as little as two weeks before fashion week, color-mixing masters receive designers’ Inspirations. From there they create custom nail colors, textures and finishes for the runway. For fall, the biggest trends are light shimmery blues and pinks that kept an edge with just a hint of black. Also, be on the lookout for lovely dove grays (as seen at Karen Walker), and velvety, matte finishes. You can play with the look yourself before these colors hit the stores by mixing your own blend! Kristina Baune of CND recommends starting with a bottle of creamy white polish, and dripping in whatever colors you want to mix. The CND line is actually designed for custom mixing and experimenting, so now all you creative girlies can have your very own, custom, signature color!

That’s right, the super-helpful staff helps you mix your very own concoction. With over 200 fragrances, you could (gladly) spend hours in the store. Even cooler, once you find your signature scent, anything and everything can be made to smell like it. One woman, they told me, cleans her dishes with soap that smells like Chanel No. 5! The best part is it’s all natural. Sensitive skin, rejoice!

I’ll admit it. When I heard that model Josie Maran was coming out with her own makeup and skincare line, I was initially skeptical–ANOTHER model with her own makeup line… Seriously? I ate my words soon enough, though, after I tried her products. They are seriously quite scrumptious–I’m a BIG fan of her Argan Oil in particular. Also, be sure to take a look at her Earth Day Kit.
