Do you live in your jeans? If so, you’ll definitely want to pickup Napoleon Perdis’ brilliant Denim Set palette. It comes with a blush, five eye shadows and three lip glosses, as well as two brushes. Hi, my name’s Mary Margaret and I’m a Fashion Intern this summer here at Seventeen!
I’m a fashion design major at Syracuse University. Something I love to do is take clothes I already have and modify them to make them my own as well as design and make my own accessories.
I didn’t even know what “DIY” meant until I was asked to help out with this style blog. FYI- DIY means Do It Yourself (for those of you who weren’t sure either).
I can’t wait to share all my DIY ideas with you guys this summer! Check back each week and I’ll have a new fashion DIY project that you can do too.
My first DIY item is actually this tank top I wore on my first day of work at Seventeen.
Click on this blog to see how you can make this fringed and studded tank yourself.

Our new “accessory obsession” is Silent Gypsy Jewelry! The one-of-a-kind, mixed-metal necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets found on shop.silentgypsyjewelry.com are feminine, yet imperfect at the same time — amazing additions to
complete any outfit! Each piece of jewelry
is handmade with an edgy and stylish appeal. And since everything is
totally unique, you can be sure no one will be showing up to school on
the first day back rocking the same goods as you!
Silent Gypsy pieces range from $12 to $69. Some of our favorite items include the Missing Pieces Necklace ($23), Free Flow Earrings ($49), and the Cobblestone Ring ($35). In addition to checking out Silent Gypsy’s website, be sure
to visit the designer’s blog here.
You can even become a fan of Silent Gypsy on Facebook. Happy Shopping!

Let’s face it — in these economic times every girl needs to channel her inner Recessionista! With summer just
around
the corner I needed to find clothes and accessories that would look
great without breaking the bank. These four pieces do just that! Each
item costs under $20 and when you put them all together you are sure to
have the chicest (and most budget friendly) outfit no matter where you
are.
The first piece is an I ‘Heart’ Ronson romper which I wear all the time. Rompers are one of my favorite summer pieces
because they’re simple and can easily be worn during the day or at
night.

Help
save the environment by buying cute jewelry! Carolyn Rafaelian of Alex
and Ani has just launched her Mother Earth jewelry collection for Tonic.
The bangles, necklaces, and keychains are all made in the U.S., of
recycle metals. And that’s not all they’re doing to be eco-chic! Ten
percent of the proceeds of the jewelry goes to World Hunger Year, which
spreads awareness about the severity of world hunger. And another ten
percent goes to the Tonic Foundation, which supports causes that you
choose on tonic.com!
