On Thursday night, Seventeen got to check out the Design Cares Kaleidoscope of Dreams fashion event that benefited the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event was co-hosted by model Chanel Iman and Project Runway’s Christian Siriano even showed up, along with Top Model and Seventeen cover girls Jaslene Gonzalez and Whitney Thompson. We even spotted Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Shannen Doherty sitting at one of the tables!

Is anyone else out there as obsessed with Katy Perry as I am? I love her combination of quirky meets cool meets cute. She’s like a little cartoon character, no?

I got a recap of her look from her makeup artist last night, Jake Bailey (who’s also MAX Factor’s celebrity makeup artist). Here, his breakdown of her look:

“I focused on Katy’s eyes with gold accents to complement her dress. It had an Egyptian feel so we went with a ‘Cleopatra light’ look. To create the look:

• Apply DiorSkin Nude Foundation all over face
• Brush the bronze shade of Lorac “Hot & Spicy” Blush/Bronzer Duo onto the hollows of the cheeks. Swipe the shimmery coral shade on the apples of the cheeks and to the top of the cheek bones for highlighting
• Apply the gold shade of MAX Factor Vivid Impact Eye Shadow Duo in Brassy Berry all over the eye lids up to and in the crease and on the lower lash line. Accentuate the outer corners of eyes with the aubergine berry color in the outer corner of creases
• Use VanityMark Brow Powder and Brow Glaze to finish the eyes for a polished look
• Apply two coats of volumizing, dark black mascara like MAX Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper
• Put on a matte, warm nude lipcolor–such as MAX Factor Vivid Impact Lipcolor in Vegas, Baby–to keep the focus on the eyes.”
