Another tip from one of my most favorite derms in the world–Dr. Howard Murad… Here’s #15!

#15: Pamper yourself. Your health and appearance are positively influenced by increasing your emotional and mental well-being. Whether its for a facial or pedicure, a visit to the spa is a fool-proof way to promote stress relief and relaxation. Book an appointment at your local spa. Its just what the doctor ordered!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am deeply in love with Rodney. He’s black, with a white tummy and giant butterfly-like ears. We jog together in the morning and when I come home from work he spins in circles and gives me huge wet kisses. Rod’s my dog (if you haven’t figured that out yet) who has been my loyal little buddy and #1 fan since I rescued him last year.

When I got an invite for a Tibi and ASPCA party I couldn’t have been more excited. The ASPCA is a not-for-profit humane organization with the mission to prevent animal cruelty and supports animal adoption centers, hospitals, and animal-assisted therapy to name just a few things.

Amy Smilovic, the fashion designer behind one of my favorite collections Tibi, invited all of Manhattan’s fashion girls out for a night of shopping at her store with a portion of the proceeds going to the ASPCA. At the event, models, socialites and city girls who love their pups showed up, dogs in tow. These girls may love to shop but “Paris Hilton-dog-as-accessories people” they are not. These young women compared doggy notes on caring for their furry friends while raising much needed funds for the ASPCA.

That messenger bag to the left looks pretty normal, right? Well, it’s actually a bag that makes a big difference! At the Kids’ Choice Awards, the Children’s Place got a bunch of awesome celebs to decorate or sign their own messenger bags — Taylor Lautner, Chace Crawford, Tony Hawk, and David Archuleta all made a bag. If you look real close, you can see that Miley Cyrus signed the one shown here! Well, now the bags are being auctioned off for a charity that promotes literacy — Books for Kids.

love finding funky, affordable pieces from the 80’s at thrift shops
like Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg, [NYC]. You really get to create
your own style/vibe in places like that. I’ve been known to hit up
Diesel, Betsey Johnson and Patricia Field, and I love, love, love
H&M.

17: What’s the one thing in your closet you could never part with?
TP: This old, black leather jacket my mom gave me from a thrift shop in
Paris. I have panic attacks over my fear of losing it, haha. It matches
literally everything from jeans and a t-shirt to a dress.
