From the very first glance of Futurenatural’s homepage, it’s obvious that you’ve come across a total treasure trove of eco-friendly beauty goods. Between the 100 percent natural bamboo self-foaming facial cleansing cloths from Kaia (I’m a major fan!) and the chemical-free metallic indigo glittery nail polish from Zoya, Futurenatural founder Emma Pezzack has created a green-girly-girl’s fantasy!

Growing up in Australia eating organic dairy and produce from her family’s farm, Emma says she’s always had “a burning passion for natural and organic goods.” Yet crunchy girl, she is not. Emma spent years working as a makeup artist and as a fashion stylist/creative director, and has a killer sense of style that will not be compromised. “I’ve worked in beauty and fashion industries all my life, but I felt increasingly compromised using conventional cosmetics in my work. I also felt a major burden of responsibility to make sure I used products that are safe for those I was using them on, not to mention safe for the environment,” she says.

Seeing a gap in the market for a source that brings organic and natural beauty to the masses, Emma got to work. “My goals were to seriously impact the world of beauty and encourage a new mindset in consumers. I wanted to show that using organic and natural beauty products these days doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice effectiveness or the modern, cool, hip factor. From the outset our site design and brand selection was very carefully conceived, and to represent only the best brands,” Emma says. But Emma isn’t stopping there! She is also Editor-In-Chief for Organic Beauty View, a beauty forum dedicated to delivering trends and product reviews from of organic and natural beauty, as well as Beauty Director for the newly launched Coco Eco Magazine.

With a lifetime of experience working in the industry, Emma offers some good words of advice for girls who want to break in: “Figure out first what you feel truly passionate about, have a talent for and love to do. If you start from a place that you’re naturally inclined towards, have a talent for and love, you’ll work harder to succeed and have more chance for success. Ask for advice and feedback and seek as much knowledge as you can get your hands on!”
