Try a New Beauty Drink and Make Your Skin Glow

If you’re like me, constantly busy, running around from place to place, sacrificing sleep just to get your chores done, or stressing out over stupid stuff, your skin could use a pick-me-up every once in a while.

And now there’s a way for you to give your skin all the things it craves — in drink form. It’s called Glowelle, and it’s a beauty drink that helps give you the most radiant skin possible, while minimizing environmental factors like pollution and sun exposure, which can make your skin look tired and worn out.

Haircolor at Home 101

Celebs like Gwynnie, Blake, and Katie may be able to get to the salon for their fancypants haircolor every three weeks… But if you’re like most girls out there, a little DIY is what it’s all about! I asked Clairol’s Color Director and celebrity colorist Jason Backe for some at-home tips. Here, his rules:

  • The general rule of coloring at home is to make sure you are staying within two shades of your base color.  If you are going any more drastic, be sure to seek professional assistance.
  • When selecting a shade, pay attention to your complexion and eye color. Fair complexions look great with gold and copper tones in their hair color. If your complexion is more olive or has pink tones, stick to cooler, ash hair colors.
  • For younger gals, a demi-permanent colorant is a great way to add some sparkle to your look. Demi-permanents enhance your natural color and tone and are low commitment. Natural Instincts is my favorite product because it not only gives you shiny and healthy-looking color but it contains vitamins C & E to keep your hair looking and feeling healthy.
  • Once you color your hair, make sure you keep it looking fresh by shampooing only every other day, or every third day even! Besides saving yourself money on product, you are also keeping your hair color from drying out or fading. When you do shampoo, use products specially formulated for color-treated hair. Try rinsing with cooler water in your shower too!  It helps keep the hair cuticle flat and keeps the color looking fresh.

Hurrah! Now, if you’d like to win a customized set of Clairol haircolor, we’ll be having a giveaway in a few weeks! If you can’t wait, pick up Natural Instincts at drugstore.com :)
