The Streets’ show injury

Mike Skinner was hospitalised after a crowd-surfing incident. The Streets frontman was injured earlier this week when he jumped into the crowd during a performance at the Cambridge Corn Exchange earlier this week and an over-zealous fan grabbed his belt and refused to let go, leaving the singer in agony.

Franz Ferdinand’s dance joy

Franz Ferdinand are “proud” to have made a dance album. The Scottish rockers are preparing to release ‘Tonight’, the long-awaited follow-up to 2006’s ‘You Could Have It So Much Better’ ad admit that, after being disappointed by their second LP, are happy with the new direction they have taken on their forthcoming record.

Album Review: Thursday - Common Existence

Thursday have long since been a band who never really got the recognition they deserved, and the reception to their 2006 release of A City By The light Divided was one of either loving or loathing. However, I’d say that those fans they lost on City will be won back from the opening beat of Common Existence, and then some.
