Alison King says pregnancy is making her “scatty”. The ‘Coronation Street’ actress - who plays feisty Carla Gordon in the soap - is due to give birth to her first child with partner Adam Huckett next month, and admits she has to have friends accompany her everywhere as she is so forgetful.

Michelle Ryan is to appear in ‘Doctor Who’. The former ‘EastEnders’ actress - who auditioned for the role of the Doctor’s assistant in 2006 but lost out to Freema Agyeman - will star in an Easter special of the BBC science-fiction series, and is delighted to finally be appearing.

Jonathan Ross has apologised for the Andrew Sachs scandal. The 48-year-old tv presenter host filmed the come-back edition of his chat show ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’ yesterday (22.01.09) and took the opportunity to say sorry for making obscene phone calls to actor Andrew Sachs with Russell Brand on a BBC Radio Two show.
