Gemma Bissix became the first female contestant to be voted off ‘Dancing On Ice’ last night (18.01.09). The devastated former ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ star burst into tears after she and partner Andre Lipanov lost the Itv talent show skate off to model-and-presenter Melinda Messenger and her partner Fred Palascak.

Eastenders actress Gemma Bissix was the second celebrity to leave the competition in Dancing On Ice. Facing the skate off with Melinda Messenger, the judges unanimously chose to save Melinda. Gemma said: “I’m coming back every week, I think I’m more excited about getting me plus one every week on Dancing On Ice. I’m gutted I just wanted to do another routine.”

‘Britannia High’ has been axed after just one series. The teen musical show - which was created by ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Arlene Phillips and Take That songwriter Gary Barlow - will not see a second series due to poor ratings and budget constraints, Itv has confirmed.

Kelly Brook has been asked out on a date during the auditions for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. The model-and-actress - who joins Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and show creator Simon Cowell, as a judge on the Itv talent show for the new series - was propositioned by rapper Anthony Ghosh, and was so shocked she put him through to the next round.

Reece Dinsdale is hoping for more comedy in his future ‘Coronation Street’ storylines. Reece, who plays Joe McIntyre in the Itv soap, hopes that after his current storyline – which sees him framed for robbery – is over he can add more light-hearted quips to his character.

Mutya Buena quit ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last night (17.01.09) after Tina Malone was evicted. The former Sugababe and the ‘Shameless’ star were both up for eviction, but Tina received the most votes and became the second person to be evicted from the reality show.
