Carl Barat says he was “too idealistic” for Dirty Pretty Things to be successful. The band, was formed in 2004 following the break up of The Libertines, and the frontman says he feels the way the band tried to run - without a definite leader - ultimately lead to their downfall and he is relieved they have split up as it has saved their friendships.
